Thank You:
This past Sunday you guys surprised my wife and I with special recognition for pastor appreciation. I can honestly say that we were greatly humbled by your generosity and support. As I have had time to reflect on the special day I consider it a privilege to serve you for the cause of Christ.

My goal as your pastor is to encourage you to place your hope in Christ each day. I want to wave the banner and proclaim that He is worth your daily pursuit. Nothing this world can offer is greater than the joy you can know in Christ. Obviously we have dedicated our time together each week to discover deeper truths about the glory of God in Christ.

As I met with the elders this week I was encouraged to share about your desire to grow in your knowledge of Jesus. It is evident each Sunday that you want to know God’s word and specifically how to establish deep faith in His perfect work. We have been in the book of Hebrews for several weeks. The study through Hebrews has been a challenge but you are eager to hear. It is a great joy to watch you come loaded with your Bible, pen and pad and search through God’s word as we try to understand the relevance of Melchizedek. Your pursuit through this book is evidence that you desire to know God’s word and apply His truth to your life.

Again, thank you for the great privilege to serve in this capacity. Serving as your Under-Shepherd during this time has been amazing. Over the past three years we have experienced both good and bad moments. Thankfully by God’s grace we have witnessed His faithfulness in every step. He has grown our faith community into a family of disciples where there is unity, love and generosity. My prayer is that we will continue to bring Him honor by looking to Jesus as our greatest joy.
