New Life COVID-19 Update 2

We continue to monitor the changing situation with regard to the COVID-19 (CoronaVirus). Under the direction of our government the elders have determined that it is unwise to meet in groups larger than 10 people.

Our plan is to cancel our regular scheduled meetings until the end of March and then make a decision about April. These changes are in line with what churches around the country are doing on a temporary basis to help slow the spread of the virus. Here is some additional information that you will find helpful as we do things a little different for the next few weeks.

1. We will offer a live stream of our Sunday morning gathering starting at 11am. The live stream will include prayer, scripture reading, music and preaching. This is a great opportunity to practice family worship. 
2. Parents with kids ages 5-5th grade will have the opportunity to download the children’s material from our website. We will provide a link to the content to make sure you can keep your kids up to date with the material each week. 
3. Starting next week we will also live stream the link student ministry. The live stream will begin at 7pm and there will be breakout session available following the live stream. 
4. Our community groups will continue to meet at the regular scheduled time. The groups will use a platform called Zoom. If you are in a group, your leader will contact you and give you the information that will enable you to connect with your community group.
5. D-groups will continue to meet at the groups discretion. Your D-group leader will be in contact with you concerning your meeting time and location. 
6. For those who need prayer during this time please stay in touch with the leadership so we can best serve you. If you have any specific needs please contact one of the elders or deacons. We love our church family and we are thankful for God’s grace within our faith community. 

Finally I want to encourage you to continue your faithful support to the ministry at New Life. We are entering uncharted territory and there is no way to project how long we will continue under this new schedule. We have faced financial challenges in the past and you have regularly demonstrated generosity. During this time it is important to remember that we have financial obligations that we need to meet. Also please know that God uses your support to help sustain this ministry. As always you can give online. We will also open the church on Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30 for those who would like to bring their offering to the church. I want to encourage you this Sunday to make giving an act of worship as we celebrate the life we have in Christ.
