Dear Church family, Like many of you, the Harmon family has often found great comfort from the apostle Paul’s words to the Philippians when he wrote, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We face a unique time within our society but a time to remember the great God we serve and the care that He has for His people. Please know the elders are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to doing everything we can to provide a safe environment for our church family, our guest and the surrounding community. Here are a few reminders and precautions that have been established for our faith community as we navigate through the next few months.
The leadership will formulate a team of volunteers to provide additional regular cleaning of the church facilities. This team will give special attention to the nursery and other common places where our children gather. In addition hand sanitizer will be available in lobby. Take responsibility and make sure you are observing good hygiene practices. Regularly washing your hands with soap for 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer is a great way to reduce the spread of germs. In addition, it is important to avoid touching your face and rubbing your eyes. Please, stay at home if you are sick or if you are concerned that you have encountered someone with COVID-19. We ask you to use common sense interactions as you greet one another. As christians we are called to love one another and greet one another specifically when we gather. Again, we are in a unique time and we need to administer caution and concern as we welcome our guest and faith community to our worship gatherings. My personal plan is to greet everyone I encounter with a smile or thumbs up! Our current plan is to continue with our regular scheduled activities. It is very possible that we will have to adjust our calendar in the near future. If the elders determine to cancel any event you will be informed by your deacon or another member of the leadership team. We will also provide updates through our social media outlets. If the time comes when we are unable to gather as a church family make an effort to stay close to one another. If you have any problems or concerns please inform your deacon or reach out to an elder. Regardless of any schedule changes or precautions that we may have to take, I ask that you continue to faithfully give financial offerings when we gather or through our online option (click here to give online). Your continued generosity is important to the church as we seek to advance the message of Jesus. My prayer is that God will use the days ahead for many to find the eternal hope that only Christ provides. Pastor Billy Comments are closed.
