This past Sunday you received an Easter invite card with information concerning our upcoming Easter gathering on April 21. Easter is always a great time at New Life and like every Sunday I pray that the gospel is clearly proclaimed. This year at New Life we will offer two separate but identical worship gatherings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There will be no Sunday School on Easter Sunday. The staff is making preparations for our Easter gathering and our goal is very focused.
It is hard to believe that we are a few short weeks away from Easter 2019! Together we have shared two Easter experiences in our brief history and those are filled with great memories. The first Easter that we shared I was serving as the interim pastor at New Life. A few weeks later you would give me the honor to become the lead pastor. During the Easter season however we were in the process of praying together concerning the potential merge between our two churches.
There are only a few things more rewarding in this world than to the see how God works to change the lives of those who trust Him. To see God take broken lives, broken families, and broken people who have lost hope and give them a new life is amazing. The power of the Gospel is real, and when a person repents of their sin and puts their trust in Christ Jesus, He powerfully changes their life. This is the vision behind the Annie Armstrong offering.
